Affected by the tariff game between China and the United States and the restructuring of the industrial chain, textile and clothing exports continued to be under pressure in September. According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, textile and clothing exports amounted to 24.42 billion US dollars in US dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 1.4%, and a decrease of 3.6 percentage points compared to the previous month. Among them, clothing exports for the month amounted to 12.45 billion US dollars, a decrease of 8%, which narrowed by 2.1 percentage points compared to the previous month. In contrast, textile exports amounted to 11.97 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.5%, demonstrating strong resilience. From January to September, the cumulative export of textile and clothing reached 221.69 billion US dollars, a slight decrease of 0.3% year-on-year, and the overall performance was relatively stable.

From January to September 2025, the cumulative export of textiles and clothing reached 1591 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the export of textiles was 764.15 billion yuan, an increase of 3%, and the export of clothing was 826.85 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.6%.
In September, textile and clothing exports amounted to 174.31 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6% and a month on month decrease of 8.2%. Among them, textile exports amounted to 85.42 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% and a month on month decrease of 3.7%, while clothing exports amounted to 88.89 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.2% and a month on month decrease of 12.2%.

From January to September 2025, the cumulative export of textiles and clothing was 221.69 billion US dollars, a decrease of 0.3%. Among them, textile exports were 106.48 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.1%, and clothing exports were 115.21 billion US dollars, a decrease of 2.5%.
